*Dubai* : Global Village

Went to Global Village today with Ketan, a classmate of mine from Dubai/India/England. He's a funny character. Very hillarious personality, fun to be with. The place opens at 4p.m and it was in the middle of no man's land. It was about 15-20kms away from Dubai itself. Basically the name speaks for itself. A place filled with areas from different parts of the world. It was amazing. The experience was superb. Loads of shopping to do and from different parts of the world.

*Global Village* : Japan
First stop, Japan. We had a great time starting off with Japan. Not much stuff in here though, and it was quite dissapointing but at least there was Mr. Sumo man to cheer me up with his pose. The architechture of the site was built in a way where it represents the country stated. In Japan site, it was bonsai, bonsai and more bonsai.

*Global Village* : Iran
Iran was kind of fun.We had plenty of stuff to look at. Mostly were items like comforters, blankets and little display souvenir gifts. There were loads of antiques too. The place was amazing. This place has plenty of carpets and also perfumes!! We had a smelling good time in there...

*Global Village* : India
India was pretty interesting. We saw many interesting shops selling clothes, paintings and also there were things like a mini-ferry's wheel which was manually operated by indians. It was strange. It was only for kids though. The kids would sit in the seat and the man would just turn the thing round and round. That was it. It was simply amazing what people would come up with just to earn some income to support their family. This is a picture of the tiny ferry's wheel for kids. It was so strange I just had to take a photo of it. Apparently, according to my friend Ketan, this can be found along side streets in India.

*Visited Places* : Jumeira Open Beach

A Day At Jumeirah Open Beach

Today was a great day spent at the beach. The weather was great, the water was clear as crystal and the sand was pale brown. Went to the beach on an ad-hoc moment, in a conversation the day before with the girls. Two Filipinos at both end, an Italian beside me, and me, in the pink. The sea in the background is crystal blue and the water is freezing!!

Our picnic spot. We rented two beach umbrellas to shade our food from the sun. We were well prepared for the picinc... imagine, bbq-ed chicken wings, fried sausages, bottle of coke, plastic cups, water, tissues, beach towels, chips and not forgetting camera!!

We gotta pose when we see the camera!! Let's not forget the shades!!

Ah....our eye candy on the beach... well, one of them though.

Ah...fruit gelatin...the only thing we forgot was the spoons!!! But we as cabin crews were trained to be very VERY resourceful...we ended up tearing up plastic cups and using them as spoons!!

Last but not least... a standing ovation to us, the only two brave ones to the water!!! the freezing water, that is.
